Meet The Jameses! Tanna and Jesse waited a full extra year for their Cedar Hall wedding! And it was definitely worth the wait! These two had a beautiful ceremony and reception full of smiles, happy tears, and tons of celebration at Cedar Hall in Memphis, TN.
After meeting online in Santa Barbara, California, these two knew pretty quickly that there were more than sparks. And during speeches, it was also evident to their closest friends, too! After all, Jesse knew the way to Tanna’s heart involved homemade bacon in her Sunday Bloody’s. When they had multiple successful dates during their first week before Jesse was deployed with the Navy, Tanna told her best friends she thought she met ‘the one’.
And less than two years later, the two of them would get engaged with an amazing view of Banff National Park behind them! Our first chats were so fun and I just knew I’d love this couple. And finally after their original October 2020 wedding date got delayed, we got to celebrate their love in style.
Cedar Hall in Memphis, TN is a beautiful, historic home perfect for wedding celebrations. The long driveway leads to beautiful views full of trees in the front lawn. The back is full of gorgeous gardens and are perfect for portraits. And the back ceremony space boasts tall trees and is a perfect backdrop for couples to say ‘I do’.
Tanna and her girls took the morning to sip champagne in their matching robes as they listened to everything from 90’s tunes to classic love songs. They shared laughs and charcuterie. And Tanna shared a little champagne spray during some porch photos in their robes! Their mismatched bridesmaids dresses were probably one of my favorite elements of the day! Beautiful textures and hues of champagne were the perfect accent around Tanna’s stunning BHLDN gown.
The threat of rain didn’t hinder our day! And Tanna and Jesse share a moment while they exchange letters to one another before their first look. Then, their wedding party joined in for more portraits in front of Cedar Hall! This crew was so fun, and we laughed so much.
Finally, it was time for these two to say their vows! Walked down the aisle by her mom and step-dad, Tanna held back tears (and so did her mom!). With their friend and Tanna’s former roommate officiating, he shared fun stories of the evolution of their relationship before they made promises of forever. Sealing with a kiss, these two were so obviously excited to walk back up the aisle as guests tossed rose petals over them! Big smiles and cheers surrounding them, a few kisses in the aisle, and it was time to party!
Their Cedar Hall wedding reception was beautifully decorated with florals from Wildflowers by Camille donning the couple’s sweetheart table. It was a beautiful display! As Tanna and Jesse celebrated and danced the night away (not without a small snafu of losing power halfway through!). Thankfully, power was restored (go Steve!) and the two were able to end their night with a perfect private final dance. Followed by a beautiful sparker exit for the new Mr. & Mrs!
