Madi & Eric’s classic downtown Nashville wedding at the new Grand Hyatt Nashville is equal parts classic, romantic, and fun! These are the weddings that make my soul so happy. From beginning to dance-dropping end, this Nashville wedding is one for the books!
The day began as Madi got her hair and makeup done by R&Co. Bridal Beauty. Surrounded by her best girlfriends, they laughed as the day started in matching pjs. While they shared stories, I began to photograph Madi & Eric’s wedding details. I couldn’t help but laugh when I noticed she had engraved the inside of his ring with “Put it back on”. An heirloom garter, a new pair of shoes, and borrowed earrings were perfect ways to bring together elements of old and new. When it was time to step into her gown, Madi’s mom helped zip her in. Her custom Olia Zavozina dress was literally made for her!
Next, it was time to step outside of The Grand Hyatt Nashville hotel for their first look! Her nerves began to hit as we stepped onto the elevator. But as soon as Eric turned around, they were both all smiles. We decided to step across to take wedding photos at Union Station, a romantic and historic hotel downtown. It was the perfect setting, and also has a family connection to Madi. Her great-grandparents were married in Nashville’s Union Station! The two of them snuggled and laughed with such ease, it made taking their portraits a dream!
Then, greeted by their whole bridal party, it was time for the fun! The ladies wore beautiful gowns and held the most perfect bouquets from Stella Rose Floral in Nashville. And the guys, well, I’ll never tire of a groom in a classic tux! And Eric and his groomsmen didn’t disappoint!
After 7 years together, these two said ‘I do’ in a ceremony inside the Grand Hyatt Nashville’s ballroom. Immediately following, they were ready to celebrate the night with their best friends, families, and favorite people all in the room. Oh, and I can’t forget their entrance! Can every couple enter their reception with streamer poppers?! The stunning head table had the most perfect light pink velvet tablecloths. Florals adorned and their wedding band, Groove Factor, got the dancing going! So many smiles, lots of twirls, and a few tears during speeches by dear friends rounded out the evening!
Madi & Eric, thank you for allowing me to capture your downtown Nashville wedding at The Grand Hyatt! Congratulations, Mr. & Mrs. Phillips!

Arrington Vineyards Proposal Photographer | Nashville, TN Some proposals are sweet. Some are spontaneous. And then there are the ones that take your breath away — not just in the moment, but in the months of quiet planning, coordination, and love that made them possible. Garrett’s proposal to Alexandra was the latter. A Florida Couple, […]

There are some love stories you feel lucky to witness from the very beginning — and Gabby and Miles are exactly that kind of story for me. I had the joy of hiding among the vines to capture the moment Miles got down on one knee, and now, months later, I found myself standing on […]

October engagement photos at Cheekwood Estate & Gardens — Nashville, Tennessee There’s something about October at Cheekwood that feels almost cinematic. The light goes golden earlier, the gardens shift into their rich autumn palette, and the whole estate takes on this quiet, unhurried magic — which made it the absolute perfect backdrop for Jon and […]

There are venues that feel like backdrops, and then there are venues that feel like characters in the story. The Estate at Cherokee Dock is the latter — a place so layered with beauty that every turn of the grounds offered something new, something unexpected, something made entirely for photographs. — Rachael Knaak, Harp & […]

There’s something undeniably timeless about weddings at The Hermitage Hotel in Nashville. From the moment you step into the historic lobby, the atmosphere feels elevated, romantic, and deeply intentional. It’s one of those rare Nashville venues that effortlessly blends luxury, history, and warmth in a way that never feels overdone. As a wedding photographer, I’m […]

Some places hold more than memories — they hold the beginning of everything. For Ethan and Veronica, that place was Vanderbilt University. Where It All Began Long before the moment his mom called for me to photograph their Vanderbilt proposal, their story started on campus — woven together through shared experiences, late nights, and the […]
