Although I’ve lived in Nashville, TN for almost 5 years now (say whaaat) I love any excuse I can find to get back to my home state. When Courtney contacted me about a fall family photo session at her beautiful farm in Blue Ridge, Virginia, I made it happen!
I’ve known Courtney and her family for years. She and I used to cheer together in high school, and her husband and I even went to elementary school together. Small town life, am I right?! She wanted a family photo session at their beautiful farm just outside of Roanoke, and I couldn’t wait to see their property!
When I arrived, I was greeted with their fleet of dogs and the cutest toddling one year old, Cam. Courtney and Casey, and her 3 other sisters and parents soon converged and we had the BEST time together! This family is so loving and just a joy to be around. The kiddos love the baby shark song (do-do-do-do-do-do) so we played that on repeat for a good part.
They could’ve chosen anyone else to capture their family, and am so honored to be the one they asked. Seriously, it makes me so happy.

Some places hold more than memories — they hold the beginning of everything. For Ethan and Veronica, that place was Vanderbilt University.
