Any chance I get the opportunity to photograph a downtown War Memorial Nashville engagement photos session, I am so excited. Downtown Nashville offers so many beautiful places for engagement sessions: from urban landscapes, to parks, to the beautiful State Capital building and War Memorial Auditorium. The options are endless. And being a Nashville wedding photographer and Nashville engagement photographer, I love the endless options the city gives for beautiful photos!
When Samantha and I began to plan her engagement session for downtown, we decided to meet at War Memorial. Little did we know there would be a heavy metal concert at the music venue there (this is Music City, after all). Although War Memorial was packed full of people, we were able to find a few places to take some photos. Goodness, they were some of my favorites during their session!
Next, we hopped across the street to the State Capital building just as the sun was setting. Then, we finished their session near Bicentennial Mall State Park. There they danced in the lighted fountain and I captured some cuddles in a tunnel.
Sam and Steve first met 4 years ago, he’s a musician and she was working on her music blog and interviewed him. This was during Nashville’s CMA Music Fest week, and they were both pretty quickly smitten. It has been so fun to watch their relationship grow over the last four years. Fast forward , they’re now a duo real estate team, working together to make people’s house buying dreams come true! (Pssst. if you need a realtor in Nashville, I’m happy to connect you!). They’re currently planning their dream fall wedding day in her hometown in North Carolina, and I am so excited for them! Sam & Steve, thank you for allowing me to capture your love. I can’t wait to celebrate with you all this fall!

October engagement photos at Cheekwood Estate & Gardens — Nashville, Tennessee There’s something about October at Cheekwood that feels almost cinematic. There are venues that feel like backdrops, and then there are venues that feel like characters in the story.
