Jess & Bill’s summertime wedding at Scarritt Bennett Chapel in Nashville, Tennessee was filled with beautiful details and intimate moments. Prior to the wedding, the couple each got ready at the Kimpton Aertson Hotel. Then, Jess shared a tender first look with her dad on the rooftop overlooking Nashville. Donning her custom Olia Zavozina gown, she was chic and classic.
They decided to tie the knot in summertime, choosing June 25th as the wedding date. Before the ceremony began, the couple took some time to each take portraits at Scarritt Bennett. The vision of their wedding became apparent as soon as soon as you step into the chapel. Beautiful florals from Echos of Eden donned the church pews. As guests filled in, the bridal party made their way down the aisle. Opting for classic black gowns for her bridesmaids, this was one gorgeous yet classic black and white modern wedding. Immediately following their nuptials, the two and their bridal party made their way outside of the chapel for portraits before heading to the reception at Kimpton Aertson Hotel.
Using elevated florals throughout the ballroom reception at Kimpton Aertson Hotel, guests arrived to celebrate the newlyweds. Since the couple lives in Nashville, they chose to have the ceremony in Tennessees capital city. And what a celebration it was!
The bridesmaids gorgeous white floral bouquets were similar to Jess’s for the bridesmaids, all made of roses. Paired with the elegant black chairs and black linens, the white florals throughout it created a classic and elegant feel. Towering black stands filled with greenery and delicate white flowers lined the tables to add to the drama. A contemporary-style copper arch with a neon sign of their last name framed the couple’s sweetheart table.
You all, we love traditional, Nashville-style weddings, but there is something so satisfying in seeing a wedding take on more contemporary shapes. Over the years, we have had the pleasure of seeing backyard weddings to barn weddings, but I forever adore gorgeous and contemporary event designs. If you are a fan of all of the gorgeous wedding ideas that you scrolled past, this southern modern wedding planned by Kiana at Simply Golden Events Nashville was sheer perfection.

Arrington Vineyards Proposal Photographer | Nashville, TN Some proposals are sweet. Some are spontaneous. And then there are the ones that take your breath away — not just in the moment, but in the months of quiet planning, coordination, and love that made them possible. Garrett’s proposal to Alexandra was the latter. A Florida Couple, […]

There are some love stories you feel lucky to witness from the very beginning — and Gabby and Miles are exactly that kind of story for me. I had the joy of hiding among the vines to capture the moment Miles got down on one knee, and now, months later, I found myself standing on […]

October engagement photos at Cheekwood Estate & Gardens — Nashville, Tennessee There’s something about October at Cheekwood that feels almost cinematic. The light goes golden earlier, the gardens shift into their rich autumn palette, and the whole estate takes on this quiet, unhurried magic — which made it the absolute perfect backdrop for Jon and […]

There are venues that feel like backdrops, and then there are venues that feel like characters in the story. The Estate at Cherokee Dock is the latter — a place so layered with beauty that every turn of the grounds offered something new, something unexpected, something made entirely for photographs. — Rachael Knaak, Harp & […]

Some places hold more than memories — they hold the beginning of everything. For Ethan and Veronica, that place was Vanderbilt University. Where It All Began Long before the moment his mom called for me to photograph their Vanderbilt proposal, their story started on campus — woven together through shared experiences, late nights, and the […]
