This sweet Belle Meade Winery engagement was pure perfection! It’s no secret that I adore photographing Nashville proposals and engagements. Getting to help create memories that begin new chapters is one of my favorite parts of being a Nashville engagement photographer!
When Sam contacted me the day before needing a Nashville engagement and proposal photographer, I was so excited. He and his longtime girlfriend, Maddie, were visiting town from Colorado. And boy did he scheme with her friends and family for an epic Belle Meade Winery proposal!
First, I arrived at the historic home and winery and found a spot to hide. They then began to walk around the property. As I hid behind some trees, they walked by and stared at the stately home for a few moments. Sam then dropped to one knee and as Maddie turned around, the shock on her face was incredible!
Maddie screamed, “Are you kidding me?!” and Sam just laughed as he placed a beautiful round diamond ring on her hand. From there, smiles and giggles, followed by more, “Are you serious?!” disbelief from Maddie. We then took some engagement photos in front of Belle Meade Mansion.
Then, we walked to the garden beside the winery for Sam’s biggest surprise of the day. His and Maddie’s parents and best friends had flown in from all over to surprise her! As we took some more portraits, she glanced over and saw her people between some hedges.
Her reaction is the best example of why I love scheming for Nashville proposal photos. And this Belle Meade Winery engagement was no exception! Tears fell as Maddie realized her parents, his parents, and best friends were waiting on them. The two greeted everyone with huge smiles, hugs, and popped some bubbly! Surrounded by family and friends, they celebrated the next chapter in their lives! Congratulations, again, you two!
