We waited extra for the most romantic destination wedding in Rome, Italy, and it did not disappoint. Angelica & Ed had to postpone their dream wedding to Italy because of – cough cough – you know. We began making plans two years ago, and their beautiful day was truly a dream come true.
This was not only my first time to Europe, but my first international destination wedding to photograph! Angelica and Ed spent the morning getting ready in the cutest little apartment close to the Trevi fountain with both of their families. Ed relaxed (and snuck in nap!) while Angelica sipped champagne and was pampered.
We then departed for their ceremony! Met with a Rolls Royce, Angelica and her dad rode to the most stunning Catholic Cathedral. Chiesa di Sant’ Ignazio di Loyola opened in 1650 and it’s tall arches and beautiful paintings were simply breathtaking. Angelica and her dad walked down the aisle and she and Ed finally got to vow their lives in front of God and their families.
After the ceremony, we stepped outside the church to take family portraits on the steps of the church. Then, we captured some photos of the couple with their maid-of-honor and best man! Finally, we got to take off just the two of them to some of their favorite spots in Rome.
First, we stopped to take wedding photos at the Piazza Navona, one of Rome’s most iconic spots. Who are we kidding, they’re all iconic there! These two really got to soak in the moment they’ve waited for. And goodness, this was a pinch-me moment! I was actually photographing a destination wedding in Rome, Italy!
We hopped back into their chauffered Rolls Royce to go to Angelica’s favorite spot, the Pantheon. We were lucky that because it was close to closing time and not very busy! They popped champagne, twirled, and had a few more moments to soak in their couples portraits before their reception!
At the Hotel Savoy Roma, Angelica and Ed are greeted by their 45 guests for dinner. Tables decorated with their navy and soft pink theme and were perfectly done thanks to their planner, Monica with Weddings on Demand. After dinner, drinks were poured and they got to dance the night away to end their magical wedding in Rome!

October engagement photos at Cheekwood Estate & Gardens — Nashville, Tennessee There’s something about October at Cheekwood that feels almost cinematic.
