Some weddings feel like they belong in a perfectly bound coffee table book—refined, romantic, and full of quiet elegance. Emily and Jake’s Nashville wedding at the Cathedral of the Incarnation was exactly that. From their ceremony at the stunning Cathedral of the Incarnation to their intimate dinner celebration at Jimmy Kelley’s, every moment was effortlessly timeless and deeply heartfelt.
Emily began her day in the vibrant yet stylish rooms of The Graduate Hotel, surrounded by her mom and sister. The morning felt calm, intimate, and filled with joyful anticipation. She slipped into a sleek, minimalist gown that was nothing short of stunning—modern in silhouette but steeped in timeless sophistication. Jake looked equally sharp in a classic black tux, the perfect match to her understated elegance.
One of the most memorable moments of the day was their first look, held on the rooftop at The Graduate. With the iconic spire of the Cathedral just in view behind them, Emily and Jake shared a quiet, emotional moment together before stepping into the whirlwind of the day. It was pure magic—just the two of them, the city skyline, and a soft breeze full of excitement.
The grandeur of a wedding at The Cathedral of the Incarnation provided the most beautiful and sacred setting for their vows. Surrounded by loved ones and bathed in soft natural light filtering through the stained glass, the ceremony felt reverent, classic, and full of heart. The architecture and history of the space added a rich sense of tradition that balanced beautifully with the couple’s modern aesthetic.
After the ceremony, we made our way to the lush gardens of Belmont University for family portraits and a relaxed stroll through the greenery. The contrast between Emily’s sleek gown and the soft natural backdrop was perfection. These portraits gave us the chance to slow down, breathe, and document their just-married glow in a way that felt honest and editorial.
Emily and Jake chose to host a private dinner and cocktail reception at Jimmy Kelley’s, one of Nashville’s beloved institutions and a favorite of the couples. With just 80 of their closest family and friends, the evening was filled with cocktails and laughter, candlelit tables, and a laid-back yet elegant atmosphere. It was less about fanfare and more about connection—exactly how they wanted it.
What made this wedding so special wasn’t just the stunning venues or the classic styling—it was the way Emily and Jake stayed present with each other throughout it all. They designed a day that felt true to them: timeless, classic, and centered around love. It was an absolute honor to photograph.
