I am convinced I have the absolute best couples, and Jeanelle and Adam only confirmed that. I got to meet up with them on a cozy November day for their Shelby Park Nashville engagement session. They are a beautiful couple and have been together for six years, having met while living in Nashville. When Jeanelle and I first talked about what she wanted for her engagement session, she mentioned that she and Adam are very laid back. Boy, did they prove that they are way cooler than I will ever be.
We caught the last bit of fall colors Nashville had to offer at beautiful Shelby Park. As we walked around the pond area, they cuddled and we captured the ease of their relationship. And then they changed into their casual outfits, complete with matching Jordan sneakers and rival hockey hats (he’s a Nashville Preds fan, she loves her Chicago Blackhawks). I encourage my couples to incorporate their personalities into their sessions and loved that they did this during their Shelby Park Nashville engagement session! It makes their photos that much more personal.
She also asked if we could finish out their session in their home so they could include their animals. Brides….animals during your session are always a “yes!” with me! I was so excited and loved getting to capture this sweet couple in their element: cozying up in their East Nashville home surrounded by their two cats and sweet dog. I am so looking forward to their May wedding and getting to know these two better!

October engagement photos at Cheekwood Estate & Gardens — Nashville, Tennessee There’s something about October at Cheekwood that feels almost cinematic. There are venues that feel like backdrops, and then there are venues that feel like characters in the story. The Estate at Cherokee Dock is the latter — a place so layered with beauty that every turn of the grounds offered something new, something unexpected, something made entirely for photographs. — Rachael Knaak, Harp & […]

Some places hold more than memories — they hold the beginning of everything. For Ethan and Veronica, that place was Vanderbilt University. Between hair and makeup, getting dressed, and preparing for the ceremony, it can feel like there isn’t much room left in the schedule. But these portraits are some of the most meaningful photographs […]
