Oh, how I’ve been waiting SO long to share Ashlee’s beautiful Greenbrier Resort bridal portrait session in West Virginia! This has probably been the hardest session to sit on ever!
I want to introduce you to one of the most important people in my life. We’ve been best friends since kindergarten. We were in Girl Scouts together until we were 18. We even attended JMU together for 2 years! This girl has cried with me, laughed with me, and held my dress at my own wedding. Twice. She’s an incredible friend, sister, Nurse Practitioner, and now WIFE.
And this past weekend, I got to ugly cry and stand beside her as she walked down the aisle to marry the love of her life, Graham. I have prayed for this day, and for this man. And she waited (and waited) until God’s timing was just right for them fall in love. Their celebration this weekend was incredible and encapsulated the two of them so perfectly.
In the middle of March during a trip back to my hometown, Ashlee, her sister, mom, and I all hopped in a car and headed to White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia. I just knew that The Greenbrier Resort was going to be the perfect place for her bridal portrait session. The day was calling for rain, but we were able to avoid it and instead captured the most beautiful photos of my best friend in her Essence of Australia wedding gown. Big windows throughout the resort, and The Greenbrier’s signature bright and bold wallpaper and carpet were beautiful accents for her photos. We spent a couple of hours laughing and walking the halls, finding amazing staircases and hidden spots to take photos.
The end result were some of my favorite photos I’ve ever taken, and they’re of Ashlee being the happiest I’ve ever seen her; full of anticipation of her wedding day.
