Princess and Sergei’s intimate Chicago wedding was an unforgettable celebration of love, set against the stunning backdrop of the Holy Name Cathedral in downtown Chicago. The blend of timeless elegance, a custom wedding gown, and unexpected April snow made their day feel truly magical.
The historic Holy Name Cathedral, with its soaring arches and beautiful stained glass windows, provided the perfect setting for Princess and Sergei’s ceremony. The grandeur of the space added to the sense of intimacy, making it a truly unforgettable experience.
Princess’s custom wedding gown was nothing short of a masterpiece. Designed specifically for her, the dress was chic and classic, perfectly capturing her timeless elegance. The cathedral-length veil complemented the cathedral’s grandeur, making Princess look like a vision as she walked down the aisle alongside her mom.
The bridesmaids’ soft pink and green dresses created a beautiful spring-inspired palette, perfectly balanced with the cathedral’s classical interior. The colors added a fresh, vibrant touch, harmonizing beautifully with the snowflakes that fell gently throughout the day—an unexpected but magical April surprise.
Though it was April, snow flurries made an appearance, adding an ethereal touch to the day. The snow created a beautiful contrast with the vibrant colors and architecture, transforming Princess and Sergei’s outdoor portraits into something out of a fairytale.
As a wedding photographer, it’s my privilege to capture not just the details but the emotions of the day. From the heartfelt vows at Holy Name Cathedral, to the joy-filled celebration with family and friends, Princess and Sergei’s intimate Chicago wedding was full of magical moments that will be cherished forever.
