Nestled amidst the rolling hills of Franklin, Tennessee, lies the historic Carnton House; the perfect location for an elegant Nashville garden wedding for Abbey & Ian. An enchanting venue steeped in history and Southern charm, it was the perfect backdrop for a wedding day that blended classic elegance with modern sophistication. As a Nashville luxury wedding photographer, I had the privilege of capturing every breathtaking detail of this remarkable day.
The Vision: Blue and White Elegance
From the moment you arrive at Carnton Historic Home, you can’t help but be swept away by the beauty of the meticulously manicured gardens and the grandeur of the historic mansion. The bride and groom’s vision for their wedding day was nothing short of southern elegance with a touch of modern flair. A true timeless Nashville garden wedding. And so, the color palette of the day was a harmonious blend of blue and white, evoking a sense of timelessness and grace.
Custom Watercolor Invitations and Stationery
The day began with guests receiving beautifully crafted, custom watercolor invitations that set the tone for the event. These intricate works of art showcased the historic venue and serene blue and crisp white color scheme, inviting guests to share in the couple’s love story.
As the sun began its descent, guests gathered under a stunning tent adorned with billowing drapery. The tent full of blue and white hydrangea blooms that complemented the blue and white theme. Long banquet tables were set with crisp linens, fine china, and elegant glassware, creating a timeless yet inviting atmosphere and planned perfectly by Vision In White Events.
After a delicious meal and heartfelt toasts, the party truly began. The couple had a surprise in store – a dazzling disco ball that cast shimmering light across the dance floor. It was a symbol of their love for both classic elegance and contemporary fun. Guests hit the dance floor with abandon, celebrating the love of the newlyweds under the glimmering lights.
Bubbles and Confetti: A Grand Sendoff
As the night wore on, it was time for the grand sendoff. Guests gathered with confetti poppers at the ready. The husband and wife made their way through the crowd, celebrated by a confetti shower of love and well wishes before hopping into their classic getaway car.
This Carnton Historic Home garden wedding was a true testament to the magic that happens when history and modernity intertwine. It was a day filled with elegance, laughter, and unforgettable moments. As a Nashville wedding photographer, I’m grateful to have been a part of this remarkable celebration, capturing the love, joy, and timeless beauty that unfolded at every turn.
Here’s to a lifetime of happiness for the newlyweds, and to the enduring love stories that continue to begin in the gardens of this gorgeous garden wedding venue in Franklin, TN.
